Most Christians consider to the problem of evil to be THE MOST troubling question of our faith: Why Does God Allow Evil? In this course, we will not just talk about possible answers to why God allows evil. Nor will this course resort to simply saying that arguments from evil are insufficient to show that Christianity is false. Rather, this course will actually answer the question of why God allows evil--we know the answer, the Bible tells us the answer, but what we've found is that Christians have not thought the answers through to the point that they are emotionally compelling enough to share with others. CLAY JONES, PHD Is a Visiting Scholar for the MA in Christian Apologetics program at Talbot Seminary and the chairman of the board of Ratio Christi, a university apologetics ministry. Previously, he was the executive director of Simon Greenleaf University (now Trinity Law School) and served on the pastoral staff of two large churches. He holds a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
He formerly hosted Contend for Truth, a call-in nationally syndicated talk radio program. On his program he debated many people over eight years, including panentheist John Cobb, Jr.; a professor of Buddhism; Jamal Badawi, Islamic Information Institute; a Muslim cleric; a Church of Scientology minister; Mormons; Jehovah’s Witness Greg Stafford; Dallas Blanchard, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights; Peta representatives; a euthanasia advocate; a secular humanist, Rep. Loretta Sanchez; KFI talk show host Bill Handle; Jimmy Creech, SoulForce chairman of the board; Bruce Ware; R. C. Sproul, Jr.; Robert Morey; R. Scott Clark; and a KJV only advocate.
Clay focuses his writing and teaching on explaining what the Lord is accomplishing through allowing evil, suffering, and death. He lives with his wife Jean E. in south Orange County California.

When do the LIVE Zoom sessions take place for the PREMIUM course?
Wednesdays @9:00 PM ET (6:00 PM PT). Each meeting lasts 1 hour. Please click HERE to download the course schedule to see the specific dates of the Zoom sessions.

Can one person enroll in the course and multiple people attend the Zoom session with the student?

We understand the desire to share these awesome sessions in this manner, but each course is a “closed” course. This means that each student enrolled in a course with LIVE recorded sessions, through their enrollment, has given permission for recording of the Zoom sessions for use by the student’s in their enrolled class ONLY and verified that they are not a minor. To remain GDPR compliant and protect privacy and security, we authenticate each student joining our Zoom meetings. This privacy is also sought to create a place where our students get to know the others in their group and feel comfortable in sharing personal thoughts and questions.
